Casey Pachall

School: TCU
Position: QB
Positive: Three-year starter who passed for 1468 yards and 6 TDs last season. Career-best totals of 66.5%, 2921 yards, and 25 TDs came during his sophomore season of 2011. Missed six games with a broken left forearm in 2013. Left the team four games into the 2012 campaign to enter a rehabilitation facility after an arrest on suspicion of drunken driving. Physically gifted quarterback with a solid game. Patient in the pocket, surveys the field, and throws to the underneath outlet if nothing is available downfield. Remains calm under the rush, displays a sense of timing, and flashes uncanny accuracy and pass placement. For the most part makes good decisions and stays away from mental mistakes.
Negative: Puts too much air under deep throws. Often times stares down the primary target. Off the field issues will raise major red flags.
Analysis: Pachall made a triumphant return to the field last season and possesses the size, mental intangibles and arm strength to play at the next level. Off the field issues will determine his future in the NFL.
