Pat O'Donnell

School: Miami-Fl
Position: P
Positive: Three-time all-conference selection who began his career at Cincinnati before transferring to Miami after graduation. Named to numerous All-America teams last season. Handled kickoff and punting duties in 2013. Averaged 47.1-yards on 53 punts including 23 punts of 50-yards or more. Season best was a 63-yard punt. Strong legged punter who kicks moon shots and flips the field. Possesses a strong leg, quickly gets the ball away and drives punts across the field. Gets terrific hang time on the ball, allowing coverage units to make plays down the field. Works hard on and off the field to improve his game. Has been used as the holder on PAT's.
Negative: Average directional punter and struggles to accurately place the ball. Lacks poise under the rush.
Analysis: O'Donnell was a consistent punter throughout his college career and has the tools to play at the next level but must be more consistent with his kicks and do a better job getting the ball away under pressure. His skills makes him worthy of consideration in the late rounds.
