Jordan Tripp

School: Montana
Position: OLB
Positive: Four-year starter who also handled the long snapping duties at Montana. Competitive, hard-working linebacker who plays through the whistle. Breaks down well, fires up the field defending the run, and sells out on the blitz. Plays with a nasty attitude, effectively collapses to the outside defending the run, and uses his hands to protect himself. Flows well to the action, flashes skill in zone coverage, and plays with the warrior mentality.
Negative: Displays average quickness and speed. Occasionally too aggressive and takes himself from the action. Marginal skill in coverage situations and struggles staying downfield with running backs.
Analysis: Tripp is liked in the scouting community but shows a lot of limitations. He's a hard-nosed defender and would be best backing up on the inside of a 3-4 defense.
