Darius Lipford

School: North Carolina
Position: OLB
Positive: Finished with 20 tackles and 6 tackles for loss as a senior. Junior totals included 42 tackles, when he played 13 games before tearing an ACL in the team's bowl game. Relatively athletic linebacker prospect who struggled returning to form after his knee injury. Aggressive, works hard, and displays tremendous quickness. Goes sideline to sideline, covers a lot of ground, and effectively makes plays in space.
Negative: Undersized and easily blocked from the play. Marginally effective on the blitz. Minimally productive in college.
Analysis: Lipford showed flashes of ability the past two seasons but injury slowed his development and hurt his consistency. If able to return to health he has the size and style to get consideration at weakside linebacker.
