Chris Young

School: Arizona State
Position: OLB
Positive: Junior-college transfer who led Arizona State last season with 112 tackles, 17.5 tackles for loss, also totaling 7.5 sacks. Junior totals included 82 tackles and 14 tackles for loss. Smart, tough linebacker with an underrated game. Fluid moving in every direction, displays good sideline-to-sideline range, and shows ability in space. Tough to knock off his feet, keeps coming, and displays a burst of speed both laterally and in a straight line. Gives effort, shows the ability to recover and plays with suddenness.
Negative: Better making plays up the field than in reverse. Not a strong wrap-up tackler. Lack of size will hurt him in coverage matchups against NFL tight ends.
Analysis: Despite his tremendous senior campaign, Young is still flying under the radar screen in the scouting community. He's a legitimate next-level linebacker with the toughness, instincts, and range to line up on the inside of a 3-4 defense.
