Boseko Lokombo

School: Oregon
Position: OLB
Positive: Two-year starter who finished the year with 63 tackles, 7 tackles for loss, and 3 sacks as a senior after 39 tackles the prior year. Athletic weakside linebacker with an underrated game. Breaks down well, easily changes direction, and displays a terrific burst to the play. Fires up the field behind the line of scrimmage to defend the run, squares into runners, and wraps up when tackling. Effectively uses his hands to protect himself, scrapes well laterally, and shows tremendous range. Easily gets outside the numbers in pursuit of the action. Effective in space and runs down ball carriers from behind.
Negative: Struggles taking on blocks and easily sealed from the action. Lacks great size and playing strength.
Analysis: Lokombo is a solid pursuit linebacker and an athletic prospect with upside. A special-teams prospect who's done well on coverage units in the past, he's a late-round pick with starting potential in a 4-3 alignment.
