Uani' Unga

School: BYU
Position: ILB
Positive: Oregon State transfer who broke into the starting lineup last season then posted a team leading 143 tackles. Tough, underrated linebacker best defending the run. Instinctive, efficient and takes good angles to the action. Diagnosis plays, remains disciplined with assignments, and effective up the field or outside the box. Quickly collapses down the line of scrimmage in pursuit of the action, redirects to runners, and wraps up when tackling. Better than average skill in pursuit, shows ability in zone coverage, and works hard to get involved in the play.
Negative: Struggles in man-coverage situations when facing tight ends or running backs. Lacks great size for the inside position at the next level.
Analysis: Unga stepped up his game last season and his run defending skills caught the eye of league scouts. He's an overachiever with size limitations but a prospect who could be an invaluable backup in the NFL.
