Will Latu

School: Abilene Christian
Position: G
Positive: Two-year starter at left tackle who came to Abilene Christian by way of College of the Canyons then Oklahoma University. Strong, powerful college tackle who projects to guard in the NFL. Bends his knees, blocks with leverage, and quickly gets his hands into opponents. Keeps his head on a swivel, stays square and controls opponents once engaged at the point of attack. Makes good use of blocking angles, anchors in pass protection, and easily turns defenders from the line, opening up the running lanes.
Negative: Overextends into blocks and bends at the waist, which hurts his ability to finish the play. Does not sink his butt at the line of scrimmage.
Analysis: Latu is a physically impressive guard who easily controlled defenders on the small-school level. Unlikely to be selected during the draft's seven rounds, he's a free agent to keep your eye on.
