Trey Hopkins

School: Texas
Position: G
Positive: Three-year starter who's lined up at both left and right guard as well as right tackle. Mean, nasty blocker best in a small area. Quick off the snap, displays power at the point of attack, and controls defenders once engaged in a block. Stays square, keeps his feet moving, and displays a good hand punch. Explosive at the point, works to block with good pad level, and keeps his head on a swivel.
Negative: Late and at times lazy with his hands. Does not finish blocks. Minimally effective blocking in motion and lumbers around the field.
Analysis: Hopkins did a good job protecting the blindside at Texas for two years and has the size as well as skill to back up at guard in the NFL.
