Trai Turner

School: LSU
Position: G
Positive: Two-year starter at right guard awarded all-conference honors last season. Athletic and explosive blocker with upside. Moves well on his feet, quick if asked to pull across the line of scrimmage, and shows the ability to get out front and block in motion. Fires off the snap, keeps his feet moving, and plays with leverage. Stays square, keeps opponents in front of him, and anchors in pass protection. Works his hands throughout the play and stays with assignments.
Negative: Narrow-based blocker who must play with better pad level. Bends at the waist, lacks balance and a dominant lower body.
Analysis: Turner showed flashes of ability the past two seasons then went on to perform well at the combine but is still rough around the edges. He needs to be more consistent with his fundamentals but is a solid developmental prospect.
