Spencer Long

School: Nebraska
Position: G
Positive: Three-year starter at right guard. Played in six games as a senior before suffering a knee injury, which ended his campaign. Large and strong offensive line prospect with upside. Fires off the snap, bends his knees, and gets movement run blocking. Stays square, gets his hands into opponents, and keeps defenders in front of him. Keeps his feet moving, keeps his head on a swivel, and attacks assignments. Plays with a nasty attitude but at the same time works well with teammates.
Negative: Lacks balance blocking in motion, struggles if asked to pull across the line of scrimmage, and does not display great footwork in pass protection.
Analysis: Long was a rising prospect before his knee injury last October and as a result will fall down draft boards. He offers the ability to start for a power-running offense once back to full health.
