David Born

School: Old Dominion
Position: G
Positive: Three-year starting guard best in a small area. Works to bend his knees, keeps his head on a swivel, and strong at the point. Easily anchors in pass protection, gets movement run blocking, and shows ability as a position blocker. Fights hard through the whistle and works well with teammates.
Negative: Lacks agility, mobility, and does not finish blocks. Heavy footed and lacks the ability to slide in space. Struggles adjusting to quick defenders. Played six games as a senior before having his season cut short with a knee injury.
Analysis: Born was a productive college lineman who comes with tremendous size and the ability to annihilate opponents. He's a marginal athlete with limited upside but should get consideration by a power running or ball control offense if his knee is healthy.
