Cody Booth

School: Temple
Position: G
Positive: Two-year starter who began his career at tight end before moving to left tackle as a senior. Strong, nasty offensive lineman with a developing game. Quick into blocks, stays square, and explosive at the point of attack. Plays with consistent leverage, quick out to the second level, and works through the whistle. Technically sound and blocks with consistent knee bend.
Negative: Must improve his footwork off the edge. Does not make good use of blocking angles. Struggles finishing blocks.
Analysis: Booth made the smooth transition from tight end to tackle last season and played fundamentally sound football, staying away from mental errors. Though he still needs work on his game, Booth should receive practice squad consideration for a zone-blocking offense that will stick him a guard.
