Aslam Sterling

School: Kansas
Position: G
Positive: Junior-college transfer who started the past three seasons at both left and right tackle as well as guard. Wide-bodied blocker best in a small area. Stays square, quickly gets his hands into opponents, and controls them at the point of attack. Plays with quickness, strong at the point, and works through the whistle.
Negative: Overextends and bends at the waist. Lacks footwork off the edge. Struggles adjusting to defensive ends and exploited by speed rushers. Heavy footed and ineffective blocking in motion.
Analysis: Sterling is a size prospect who showed flashes the past two seasons but never developed his game after moving around to several offensive line positions. He's a practice squad prospect best suited to play in a ball control offense.
