Nikita Whitlock

School: Wake Forest
Position: FB
Positive: Four-year starter at nose guard for Wake Forest. Senior totals included career-best numbers of 70 tackles, 17 tackles for loss and 10 sacks. Fierce, undersized defensive tackle who projects to inside linebacker or fullback in the NFL. Plays with knee bend, leverage, and fast moving in every direction. Effectively uses his hands to protect himself, displays outstanding first step quickness, and explosive. Shows a closing burst and possesses natural pass rushing skills. Tough and works hard to get involved in the action.
Negative: Undersized for the defensive line and lacks height at linebacker. Primarily used up the field at Wake Forest.
Analysis: Whitlock is a hard working college prospect who got the most from his ability. Besides his productivity on defense, he was also a solid special-teams player and blocked punts in the past. He's a free agent prospect with a very real chance to be used on the inside of a 3-4 alignment or as a lead blocker if he plays well on special teams.
