Jay Prosch

School: Auburn
Position: FB
Positive: Illinois transfer who started the past two seasons at fullback and H-back. Senior totals included 5 receptions for 95 yards. Did not carry the ball as a senior. Tough, smart lead blocker who uses all his assets. Nasty, looks to bury opponents, and displays great blocking vision. Sees the blitz, can slide in space, and effectively gets a pad on defenders to knock them from their angle of attack. Stays with the action, bends his knees, and plays with good pad level. Solid receiver out of the backfield.
Negative: Marginal offensive threat. Not quick into the flanks running routes or getting around the corner as a lead blocker.
Analysis: Porsch is an underrated lead blocker who would do well in a traditional system or as a West Coast fullback. He has a competitive nature, plays smart football, and does the little things well.
