Kirby Ennis

School: Texas A&M
Position: DT
Positive: Started the first four games last season, posting 6 tackles before being felled by a knee injury. Had a career-best 23 tackles and 2 tackles for loss the prior year in 11 starts. Relatively athletic interior defensive line prospect with upside. Plays with good pad level, fires off the snap, and easily changes direction to get down the line in pursuit of plays. Holds his ground, shows power, and pushes double-team blocks up the field.
Negative: More of a gap occupier than playmaker. Marginal pass rusher. Average size for the next level.
Analysis: Ennis flashed athleticism the past two seasons and started quickly as a senior before the knee injury ended his year. When fully healthy he offers possibilities as a defensive tackle in a conventional four-man line.
