Jay Bromley

School: Syracuse
Position: DT
Positive: Three-year starter named team captain last season, leading Syracuse with 14.5 tackles for loss and 10 sacks while also adding 42 tackles. Strong, slug-it-out interior lineman with surprising athleticism. Shows terrific power on the inside, double teamed by opponents but bull rushes blockers off the line and collapses the pocket. Gets a lot of push up the field, fights hard throughout the play, and works his hands. Keeps his feet moving, collapses the pocket, and finds a way to make plays behind the line of scrimmage. Better than average change of direction with the ability to pursue down the line of scrimmage.
Negative: Does not play with consistent leverage and makes himself an easy target for opponents. Average timed speed and, despite his numbers, not a great pass rusher.
Analysis: Bromley is an underrate prospect who developed his game every season at Syracuse. He offers size, terrific strength, and offers possibilities as a backup tackle in a four-man line.
