Julius Warmsley

School: Tulane
Position: DE
Positive: Two-year starter who finished with 46 tackles, 18.5 tackles for loss, and 6 sacks as a senior. Lined up at both nose and defensive tackle for Tulane as well as defensive end. Multipurpose college lineman with a deceptive game. Quick off the snap, keeps his feet moving on contact, and strong. Bull rushes opponents off the ball, consistently gets penetration, and effectively uses his hands to protect himself. Solid athlete with good movement skills. Easily collapses down the line of scrimmage and gets outside the box to make plays. Disruptive force.
Negative: Lacks bulk, height, and great speed. Will be a liability defending the run in the NFL. Does not possess the foot speed to be used at linebacker.
Analysis: Warmsley was a productive college defender who's flown under the scouting radar the past two seasons. He's shown enough skill on the college level to get consideration as a situational defensive end in a one-gap system.
