Aaron Lynch

School: South Florida
Position: DE
Positive: Notre Dame transfer who posted a career-best 6 sacks and 12.5 tackles for loss last season when he started 10 games. Explosive college pass rusher who displays tremendous athleticism. Fires off the snap, plays low to the ground, and works his hands throughout the action. Fast and fluid moving to every direction and easily changes direction. Knocks blockers back with terrific hand punch and shows the ability to bend off the edge.
Negative: Possesses average instincts and does not show great awareness. Lacks bulk, can be a liability against the run, and easily knocked from his angle of attack rushing the quarterback. Does not seemingly play through the whistle every down.
Analysis: Lynch flashed big-time pass rushing skill the past two seasons but has been moderately productive and at times leaves scouts believing he's capable of much more. He's a solid athlete with growth potential and comes with upside potential, but Lynch must elevate every aspect of his game.
