Qua Cox

School: Jackson State
Position: CB
Positive: Three-year starter who's been a ball hawk and solid special-teams player at Jackson State. Fluid pedaling in reverse, displays a nice move to the throw and a sense of timing. Shows both closing and recovery speed, quick up the field to defend the run, and stays step for step down the sidelines with opponents. Highpoints the pass over opponents and works hard in all areas.
Negative: All too often let's opponents freely release from the line of scrimmage. Not a consistent tackler. At times slow transitioning with opponents off the line.
Analysis: Cox is an underrated cornerback with the size and skill to be used in nickel or dime packages at the next level. He displays a good feel for coverage, has a knack for interceptions, and offers ability on special teams.
