Travis Swanson

School: Arkansas
Position: C
Positive: Four-year starter at center awarded all-conference honors since his sophomore season then named to numerous all-America teams the past two years. Tough, smart blocker on the pivot who effectively quarterbacks the offensive line. Displays outstanding vision, stays square, and stout at the point of attack. Turns defenders from the ball, opening up the running lanes, and anchors in pass protection. Quickly gets into blocks, shows skill in motion, and gets out front to knock linebackers from the play.
Negative: Marginally athletic. Not a dominant lineman who consistently finishes blocks. Occasionally bends at the waist, which adversely affects his blocking balance.
Analysis: Swanson was durable and productive on the college level, getting the most from his ability to come away with top results. He's a solid but not spectacular prospect for the next level, but a center who could start for years to come in the proper system.
