James Stone

School: Tennessee
Position: C
Positive: Four-year starter at center after seeing action at left guard early in his Tennessee career. Quick, fundamentally sound blocker with limited upside. Fires into blocks, jolts opponents at the point of attack, and works through the whistle. Stays square, keeps his feet moving, and effectively fights with his hands throughout the play. Effective with the shotgun snap. Sized well and shows ability on the second level.
Negative: Overwhelmed at the point of attack and gets minimal movement in run blocking. Overextends into blocks and does not consistently play on balance.
Analysis: Stone was a consistent performer at Tennessee and offers next-level size but must elevate every aspect of his game before he steps on the field in the NFL.
