Terrance Williams

School: Baylor
Position: WR
Bio: Three-year starter awarded all-Conference honors as a senior after posting career numbers of 97 receptions/1832 yards/12 TDs. Averaged 18.9 yards per catch in 2012. Junior totals included 59/957/11 after 43/484/4 as a sophomore.
Positive: Game-changing receiver who significantly elevated his draft stock as a senior. Smart, shows good field awareness, and comes back to the ball to make himself an available target. Stays with the action, uses the sidelines well, and makes difficult catches when double teamed. Easily adjusts to errant throws, looks the pass in, and displays a sense of timing. Gets vertical and contorts to make difficult catches. Quickly releases off the line, immediately gets to top speed, and shows a burst. Catches the deep ball in stride. Gives effort blocking downfield and gets results.
Negative: Must do a better job selling pass routes. Not a true deep threat. Looked very average at the Senior Bowl.
Analysis: Entering the 2012 season, Williams was graded as a potential late-round pick by league scouts. He elevated his play as a senior and is now getting first-round consideration. He possesses the skills necessary to start at the next level, and he could develop into a second receiver in a variety of NFL offensive systems.
