Rodney Smith

School: Florida State
Position: WR
Bio: Two-year starter who totaled 38 receptions/524 yards/3 TDs as a senior after 36/561/4 the prior year.
Positive: Nice-sized possession receiver best running underneath routes. Fluid, adjusts to errant throws, and easily makes the reception in stride. Gets vertical over defenders and fights to make receptions. Comes back to the ball out of breaks and offers the quarterback a target. Displays a sense of timing and stays focused.
Negative: Possesses limited speed and quickness. Does not have a burst. Must turn up the intensity blocking.
Analysis: Smith is a one-speed receiver with next-level size. If he starts to do the little hings well and improves his downfield blocking he could make an NFL roster as a fifth wideout.
