Rashad Ross

School: Arizona State
Position: WR
Bio: Junior-college transfer who posted receiving numbers of 37 receptions/610 yards/6 TDs last season when he also averaged 25.6 yards on 13 returns. Junior numbers included 18/254/1 with an average of 30.4 yards at 13 kick returns.
Positive: Dependable receiver who also doubles as a return specialist. Comes back to the ball out of breaks, uses his frame to shield away defenders, and gets up in a crowd to make the difficult reception. Consistently finds the open space, easily adjusts to errant throws and makes receptions in stride. Keeps the play in bounds running after the catch and gives effort picking up positive yardage. Solid downfield blocker.
Negative: One-speed skill player who lacks a burst. Marginally productive.
Analysis: Ross is a solid prospect with upside and a player who's improved the past two years. He projects as a fifth receiver at the next level but must make a mark on special teams this summer to grab a roster spot.
