Michael Berry

School: Southern
Position: WR
Bio: Two-year starter who posted 38 receptions/624 yards/16 TDs as a senior after junior totals of 39/508/7.
Positive: Consistent wide out with outstanding size/speed numbers. Nice-sized target who extends to make receptions away from his frame. Looks the pass into his hands, displays good focus, and effectively tracks the deep ball. Comes back to the pass out of breaks, displays good hand/eye coordination, and wins out in battles.
Negative: Lacks a quick release off the line, does not play to his 40 time, and lacks a burst. Hands aren E(TM)t soft and as a result he occasionally lets catchable throws slip by. Merely moderately productive on the college level.
Analysis: Berry has the size and speed to be a mid-round pick yet showed little consistency or improvement on the college field. He's a developmental prospect who could find a spot on the practice squad this September.
