Conner Vernon

School: Duke
Position: WR
Bio: Four-year starter awarded all-Conference honors since his sophomore season. Lead Duke in receiving as a senior posting 85 receptions/1074 yards/8 TDs after 70/956/6 as a junior.
Positive: Consistent pass catcher best running underneath routes. Quickly releases off the line, runs sharp routes, and gets separation from defenders. Works to make himself an available target, displays good hand-eye coordination, and battles opponents to come away with the reception. Plays with good focus, looks the pass into his hands, and consistently makes the reception away from his frame. Exposes himself to the big hit in order to come away with the catch. Keeps the play in bounds running after the reception and works to pick up positive yardage.
Negative: Marginal speed and not a downfield threat. Lacks classic size for possession receiver.
Analysis: Vernon was productive as a four-year starter at Duke and gets the most from his ability. He possesses the receiving tools to line up as a third wideout in the NFL.
