Chris Bowden

School: Wingate
Position: WR
Bio: Four-year starter awarded all-America and all-Conference honors the past two years. enior totals included 106 receptions/1359 yards/9 TDs after 76/1064/9 as a junior.
Positive: Productive small-school receiver who does the little things well. Quickly releases off the line of scrimmage, sells routes, and stays low exiting breaks. Comes back to the ball, displays good hand/eye coordination, and snatches the pass from the air. Extends his hands, offers the quarterback a target, and consistently makes the catch away from his frame. Works to pick up yardage running after the reception.
Negative: Lacks a burst and the ability to run to the deep throw. Not quick-footed into breaks.
Analysis: Bowden was a consistent receiver for Wingate and showed improvement each season. He lacks the speed to be anything other than a fifth receiver at the next level, but his pass-catching skills and the ability to produce could help him grab hold of a roster spot.
