Brandon Kaufman

School: Eastern Washington
Position: WR
Bio: All-America and all-Conference selection as a senior after totals of 93 receptions/1850 yards/16 TDs. Broke his hand as a junior and played in just four games, finishing with 29/373/1. Initially awarded All-America and all-Conference honors as a sophomore after totals of 76/1214/15.
Positive: Tall, consistent target best running underneath routes. Fluid releasing off the line of scrimmage, quickly gets to top speed and comes back to the ball out of breaks. Uses his frame to shield away defenders. Displays good focus and concentration and extends in a crowd to make difficult catches. Competes to come away with the pass and battles double teams for receptions. Snatches passes from the air at the highest point.
Negative: One-speed player who lacks a deep burst. At times, does some unnecessary double catching. Poor route runner who struggles getting in and out of breaks.
Analysis: Kaufman was super productive at Eastern Washington, making the most of his ability and the team E(TM)s high-powered offense. He offers terrific size for the next level and should be a competent fifth receiver used in the red zone or on third down passing situations.
