Kelen Bartlett

School: Utah State
Position: TE
Bio: Senior totals included a career-best 38 receptions/272 yards/5 TDs. Missed the 2011 season with injury. Started seven games as a true junior in 2010, catching 15 passes for 222 yards.
Positive: Athletic pass-catching tight end who will get consideration as an H-back in the NFL. Consistently finds open spaces in the defense. Keeps his focus and concentration then makes difficult receptions in contorted positions. Plays with quickness and is more athletic than his size/speed numbers lend one to believe. Bends his knees, blocks with terrific leverage, and gives effort until the whistle blows.
Negative: Not a downfield pass catching threat. Lacks height and will be outmatched by larger linebackers. Average strength at the point when blocking.
Analysis: Bartlett made a successful return from injury last season and squeezes the most from his ability. He offers potential as an H-back/move tight end and should do well on special teams.
