Nick Becton

School: Virginia Tech
Position: T
Bio: Became a full-time starter at left tackle as a senior after rotating with the first-team as a junior.
Positive: Athletic offensive line prospect with a large upside. Bends his knees, blocks with leverage, and plays with good agility. Keeps his feet moving, easily slides in space, and displays good lateral blocking range. Consistently plays with good pad level. Explosive at the point and effective when he gets his hands into opponents. Shows strength as a run blocker and keeps defenders in front of him.
Negative: Gets lazy with his hands and doesn E(TM)t block with a nasty attitude. Must improve his blocking balance.
Analysis: Becton is a late bloomer and a blocking prospect who combines size, power, and agility. He offers starting potential at the next level, yet must elevate his game and consistently play at a high level.
