Zeke Motta

School: Notre Dame
Position: S
Bio: The three-year starter who totaled 77 tackles and broke up three passes as a senior after 40 tackles and one interception the prior year.
Positive: Tough, strong defensive back who plays best between the numbers. Forceful up the field, defeats blocks, and easily brings down ballcarriers on initial contact. Displays good instincts and rarely makes mental mistakes. Stays with assignments and remains alert. Has a burst to the action and the ability to cover the pass in the short field.
Negative: Lacks great range and struggles to quickly get outside the numbers. Does not possess the agility or quickness to play against slot receivers.
Analysis: Motta is a physical specimen who displayed a developing game the past three years. He's a classic strong safety prospect but shows enough skill in coverage to be placed in a two-deep-zone system. He'll flourish at the next level in the right system and is a hard worker good to have in the locker room.
