Jonathan Meeks

School: Clemson
Position: S
Bio: Two-year starter who totaled 65 tackles/2 interceptions/3 pass breakups as a senior after junior numbers of 61/3/8.
Positive: Underrated safety with the size and skill to play the next level. Fast, quick closing to the action, and displays terrific sideline-to-sideline range. Makes a lot of athletic plays, gets vertical over receivers, and shows good hands for the interception. Explosive, terrific in pursuit and works hard to make plays. Quick up the field and throws his pads into ballcarriers attempting to defend the run.
Negative: Slow and stiff pedaling in reverse. Takes incorrect angles to the action. Does not display a good feel in coverage.
Analysis: Meeks is an athletic specimen who displayed improvement the past two seasons. He possesses the physical skills to play in a variety of defensive schemes at the next level and comes with a special teams mentality.
