Ray Graham

School: Pittsburgh
Position: RB
Bio: Two-year starter awarded all-Conference honors as a senior after ground totals of 222 carries/1042 yards/11 TDs and pass catching numbers of 36 receptions/304 yards/2 TDs. Played in eight games as a junior before suffering a season-ending knee injury and ended with 164/958/9 on the ground and 30/200 as a pass catcher.
Positive: Small yet elusive ballcarrier who creates his own yardage. Displays terrific patience, waits for blocks to develop, and immediately find the running lanes. Possesses outstanding quickness with the ability to turn it on in a single step. Easily bounces around defenders, making opponents miss or avoids them altogether. Quickly changes direction and loses little momentum when he must immediately alter his angle of attack or cut back against the grain. Instinctive, keeps plays alive, and finds a way to squirm through the small openings on the inside. Uses his size to his advantage as he gets lost behind blockers and becomes tough to find. Has a burst to turn the corner and beat defenders into the open field. Strong for his size, displaying the ability to bounce off opponents to keep runs alive. Legitimate receiving target out of the backfield.
Negative: Undersized ballcarrier with a major knee injury in his past. Not a back who's going to pick up much yardage off initial contact. Cannot run to daylight.
Analysis: Graham is a multi-cut ballcarrier who strings several moves together over the course of a single run. He lacks the frame to take a pounding at the next level, yet should do very well as a situational skill player.
