Latavius Murray

School: Central Florida
Position: RB
Bio: All-Conference selection as a senior when he moved into the starting lineup on a full-time basis and registered 198 carries/1106 yards/15 TDs on the ground while adding 27 receptions/2031 yards/4 TDs as a receiver. Rotated into the starting lineup the prior two years totaling 98/549/8 as a junior and 111/637/11 as a sophomore.
Positive: Big, straight-line ballcarrier who improved significantly as a senior. Possesses good running vision, effectively uses his blocks, and has a burst through the hole. Keeps his feet moving on contact, gets a lot of momentum going up the field, and breaks tackles while moving the pile. Works to keep runs alive. Displays some short-area quickness. A solid receiver out of the backfield.
Negative: Strictly a straight-line runner and loses a lot of momentum when he must quickly change direction. Runs too upright.
Analysis: Murray is a grind-it-out, interior ballcarrier who shows the ability to pick up tough yardage. His ball-carrying and pass-catching skills could help him catch on as a third back in a power running offense.
