DeLeon Eskridge

School: San Jose State
Position: RB
Bio: All-Conference selection as a senior after rushing totals of 207 carries/1025 yards/11 TDs. Also added 28 receptions for 156 yards. Began his college career at Minnesota, leading the Gophers on the ground as a junior in 2010 with 193/698/7.
Positive: Strong interior ballcarrier who does the little things well. Helps the quarterback sell ball fakes and gives effort blocking. Displays solid running vision. Patient. Will choose his spots on the inside and shows the ability to pick up the difficult yardage. Solid receiver who takes a pounding but holds onto the ball.
Negative: Possesses marginal quickness and speed. Struggles to turn the corner and loses momentum when he must change direction.
Analysis: Eskridge did a tremendous job last season at San Jose State, elevating his game and showing well-rounded skills. He's positioned himself as a free-agent prospect and could make an NFL roster as a third back.
