Curtis McNeal

School: USC
Position: RB
Bio: Senior rushing totals included 116 carries/701 yards/2 TDs after 145/1005/6 the prior year. Primarily a rotational back at USC and saw limited starting action.
Positive: Quick, elusive ballcarrier with the ability to create yardage. Patient, waits for blocks to develop, and shows a burst through the running lanes. Easily bounces around piles or make defenders miss, loses little momentum changing direction and has the speed necessary to turn the corner. Effectively follows blocks everywhere and plays with an elusive style.
Negative: Undersized and stopped dead in his tracks by the first defender. Minimally productive catching the ball out of the backfield.
Analysis: McNeal is a change of pace runner with the ability to turn the corner or make defenders miss on the inside. He must improve catching skills in camp this summer to have any chance of making a practice squad.
