Mike Glennon

School: North Carolina State
Position: QB
Bio: Two-year starter who finished his senior season passing for 58.5%/4031 yards/31 TDs/17th Interceptions. Junior totals included 62.5%/3054/31/12.
Positive: Tall, physically gifted passer who must improve his decision-making. Stands in against the rush, displays a lot of toughness, and resilient. Has thick skin, bounces back from mistakes, and keeps his team in the game. Directs the offense, remains poised under the rush, and takes a big hit in order to get the pass away. Displays good timing on outs, drives the ball downfield, and shows the ability to deliver beautiful passes. Continually keeps his eyes downfield and, for the most part, accurate. Effective when he looks off the safety. Has the arm strength to make all the throws. Spreads the ball around and uses all his targets.
Negative: Shows a lot of indecision in the pocket, misreads the defense, and puts the ball up for grabs. Slow to move his head away from the primary target. Makes some head-scratching decisions or dangerous throws on occasion and not always on the same page as his receivers. Can be all over the place with passes and constantly has targets reaching backwards or getting vertical to grab errant throws.
Analysis: Glennon's arm strength passes the eyeball test and he's a signal caller who wows scouts on occasion. He has physical skills to start at the next level, yet needs to improve his decision-making, accuracy, and passing mechanics. Glennon comes with a huge upside, yet needs a lot of work and is not the sure-thing that many are making him out to be.
