Kyle Padron

School: Eastern Washington
Position: QB
Bio: Played in 11 games last season, throwing for 59.1%/2491 yards/17 TDs/7 INTs. Began his college career at SMU, where he started 14 games as a sophomore in 2010 and posted 59.4%/3828/31/14. Played in just three games the following year.
Positive: One time highly rated quarterback prospect whose game has fallen off the past two years. For the most part, throws with good technique, puts touch on passes when necessary, and gets the ball downfield. Senses pressure and steps up in the pocket to buy time. Often puts the proper touch on throws. Can zip the outs. Immediately gets the ball to the intended target and displays good velocity on all his throws. Good timing passer who does not leave receivers waiting.
Negative: Gets rattled under pressure and tends to get too excited in big games. Does not always find the safety. Slow progressing to his secondary targets and then forces the ball into coverage.
Analysis: Padron looked like a legitimate NFL prospect after his sophomore season in 2010, but has since turned in mediocre results. He possesses the underlying skills to play at the next level but really needs to improve on the mental aspect of his game and get his confidence back to make it out of camp this summer.
