Dayne Crist

School: Kansas
Position: QB
Bio: Notre Dame transfer who started seven games last season, finishing with 47.7%/1313 yards/4 TDs/9 INTs. Started nine games for Notre Dame in 2010 and passed for 2033 yards and 15 touchdowns.
Positive: Athletically gifted signal caller with an inconsistent game. Offers nice pocket stature, NFL arm strength, and the ability to elude the rush. Patient in the pocket, goes through receiver progressions, and throws with an over-the-top delivery. Puts touch on throws when necessary and easily delivers the pass on the move.
Negative: Consistently late with his throws and has receivers waiting on the ball or adjusting backwards to grab the errant pass. Inaccurate and sprays throws around the field. Does not react well under pressure.
Analysis: Crist had an up-and-down college career at both Notre Dame and Kansas. He offers next-level physical skills, yet makes too many mental and mechanical errors to get serious consideration. Crist is a practice-squad prospect who must quickly elevate his game and reduce his mistakes to have a career in the NFL.
