Troy Davis

School: Central Florida
Position: OLB
Bio: Two-year starter awarded all-Conference honors as a senior after totals of 72 tackles/11.5 tackles for loss/8 sacks. Junior numbers included 29/8.5/5.
Positive: Undersized college defensive end who projects to outside linebacker in the NFL. Explodes off the snap, displays terrific edge speed and the ability to bend off the corner. Plays with effective pad level. Shows quickness as well as an array of moves getting off blocks. Smart, quickly locates the action, and sells out to make plays. Keeps his hands active throughout the play and shows speed moving in every direction.
Negative: Gets caught up in the traffic and slowed by blocks. Average production until his senior season.
Analysis: Davis is an underrated prospect who lacks great size for the next level but plays big and constantly disrupts the action behind the line of scrimmage. He offers potential as a backup at a number of linebacker positions.
