Keith Pough

School: Howard
Position: OLB
Bio: All-America and all-Conference recipient as a senior when he was also named MEAC Defensive Player of the Year. Finished the season with 72 tackles/10 tackles for loss/3.5 sacks.
Positive: Active, hard-working linebacker who is constantly around the action. Breaks down well, remains disciplined with assignments, and attacks opposing ballcarriers. Instinctive, covers a lot of ground, and is effective in pursuit. Fights to get off blocks and plays while injured. Efficient, takes good angles to plays, and sells out on the blitz. Plays faster than his 40 time.
Negative: Undersized defender who gets caught up in the trash or easily disrupted from his angle of attack. Displays just average skill in coverage.
Analysis: Pough was a fantastic linebacker on the small-school level and a defender who constantly made plays on the ball. He lacks classic size and speed for the next level, yet his instincts, toughness, and competitiveness could easily help him catch on as an eighth linebacker/special teams player.
