Keanon Cooper

School: Minnesota
Position: OLB
Bio: Three-year starter who finished with 69 tackles and 4.5 tackles for loss as a senior after junior totals of 77 tackles and six tackles for loss.
Positive: Undersized but explosive weakside linebacker prospect. Easily changes direction and alters his angle of attack while maintaining momentum. Effectively diagnoses and anticipates plays. Explodes up the field to defend the run and is very effective in pursuit. Chases the action with speed and makes a lot of plays in space.
Negative: Does not always take the best angles the action. More of a defender who must run around blocks rather than meet them head-on.
Analysis: Cooper is a chase-and-run linebacker who would be effective in a one-gap system. He comes with the ability to be a good special teams player in the NFL.
