John Lotulelei

School: UNLV
Position: OLB
Bio: Junior-college transfer awarded all-Conference honors as a senior after breaking into the starting lineup and totaling 120 tackles. Junior numbers included 60 tackles.
Positive: Small but explosive linebacker who makes plays sideline to sideline. Fluid moving laterally. Effective in pursuit and easily gets outside the numbers. Immediately finds the ballcarrier wraps up when tackling. Quickly changes direction, flows well to the action, and shows a solid closing burst to the play. Possesses better than average instincts and remains disciplined with assignments.
Negative: Overmatched by tight ends in coverage. Struggles getting off blocks and completely taken from the action by fullbacks.
Analysis: Lotulelei is a hard charging linebacker with the ability to play three downs at the next level. The lack of height limits him but he offers definite possibilities as a backup weakside linebacker as well as a special teams player.
