Freddie Bishop

School: Western Michigan
Position: OLB
Bio: Four-year starter awarded all-Conference honors since his junior season. Totals last year included 62 tackles/11.5 tackles for loss/4 sacks after 51/12/5.5 the prior year.
Positive: Undersized yet active college defensive end who constantly disrupted the action. Fires off the snap with a terrific first step, plays with good pad level, and easily moves about the field. Works his hands to protect himself and tough to knock off his feet. Relatively athletic, effortlessly changes direction, and makes plays in pursuit.
Negative: Easily turned from the action by single opponent. Lacks bulk and may not have great growth potential. Average closing burst.
Analysis: Bishop was a consistent force the past three seasons and is a defender with the ability to make plays up the field or laterally. He's a natural pass rusher who could be used as a situational player in nickel or dime packages at the next level, standing up over tackle or occasionally coming out of a three-point stance.
