Jordan Devey

School: Memphis
Position: G
Bio: Junior-college transfer who started both seasons he played at Memphis. All-Conference selection as a senior. Lined up at every position along the line except center in college.
Positive: Tough, versatile lineman with marginal size and speed for the next level. Bends his knees, sets with a wide base, and blocks with a nasty attitude. Stays square, keeps the defender in front of him, and knocks opponents back with violent hand punch. Quickly gets off blocks, engulfs opponents, and seals them from the action. Patient in pass protection and works until the whistle blows.
Negative: Ineffective blocking in motion and struggles adjusting to athletic defenders. Displays limited footwork in pass protection and lacks overall playing balance.
Analysis: Devey was a consistent player on the college level and showed the ability to adapt to any situation. He lacks the underlying athleticism to start at the next level but the versatility to line up at multiple offensive line positions could help him make a roster as an inexpensive utility blocker.
