T.J. Barnes

School: Georgia Tech
Position: DT
Bio: Started as a senior totaling 28 tackles/5 tackles for loss/1.5 sacks. Junior totals included 11 tackles with 1.5 tackles for loss.
Positive: Massive, wide-bodied lineman with better than average movement skills. Quick off the snap, easily changes direction, and slides down the line of scrimmage in pursuit of the action. Flashes power in his lower body and the ability to bull rush opponents off the line. Strong, takes up a lot of room, and impossible to move off the point.
Negative: Shows little in the way of hand technique and easily has his legs taken out. Neutralized or controlled at the point by single blocker. Rarely makes plays on the ball.
Analysis: Barnes is a size prospect with above average athleticism but a defensive lineman who must prove who he can do more than take up space in the middle of the line to have any career in the NFL.
