Scott Vallone

School: Rutgers
Position: DT
Bio: Four-year starter who finished with 52 tackles/12.5 tackles for loss/3 sacks as a senior after junior totals of 58/3.5/2.5.
Positive: Tough, high-motor defensive lineman who gets the most from his ability. Plays with good knee bend and effectively uses his hands to protect himself. Stays with the action, quickly changes direction, and pursues plays down the line of scrimmage or outside the flanks. Solid pass rusher who displays a variety of moves.
Negative: Slowed by blocks and easily disrupted by a single opponent. Lacks classic size/speed numbers for the next level.
Analysis: Vallone was a productive four-year player who flew under the scouting radar. He's a draft-worthy prospect who should get consideration as a 3-technique tackle.
