Will Davis

School: Utah State
Position: CB
Bio: Junior-college transfer who finished with 64 tackles/5 interceptions/17 pass break-ups as a senior when he was awarded all-Conference honors. Junior totals included 35 tackles in five starts.
Positive: Developing cornerback who improved greatly last season. Aggressive, works hard to get involved, and plays until the whistle blows. Quick up the field defending the run, squares into ballcarriers, and wraps up at the point of attack. Smooth and fluid, runs with opponents step for step, and shows a closing burst to the play. Makes a lot of athletic plays and consistently positions himself to break up the throw.
Negative: Occasionally "falls asleep," lets receivers behind him, and blows assignments. Bites on double moves.
Analysis: Davis flashed dominance at times last season and is a terrific athlete with a developing game. He has a lot of upside but needs work before he'll be ready to play in the NFL on a consistent basis.
